The GEA Bargaining Team will meet with district negotiators on Friday, January 15, 2010 and Tuesday, January 19, 2010.
The District has proposed a compensation plan for GEA members that includes two (2) furlough days in 2009-2010, two (2) furlough days in 2010-2011, and a 2.9 percent reduction to the salary schedule in 2010-2011.
GEA believes the district can afford to maintain the current salary schedule and 185 work day schedule without furlough days.
